We Are All Connected

I have a long-standing interest in the nature of being human amongst other humans and alongside lots of living creatures and plants and flowers.

It is now Spring and a time when skylarks will be ready to ascend and my spirits will soar with them. Their beautiful song on the thermals marks the beginning of warm weather and there will be lots of budding, blooming and newness to see. At night the skylarks with sleep in clusters amongst the growing arable crops and or in the long grasses on hill-tops. Around me the arable crop isn't always a safe place to sleep. Skylarks are now mating and feeding 4 clutches a year as their chicks survival has been affected by intensive farming and predation. I used the theme of ground clusters of birds as visual theme to this Series a carry on from my earlier work inspired by reed dwelling birds in Norfolk.
